COVID-19 cases crossed Odisha mark 25000 and were fitted at 25389 as more than 1376 people in 30 districts have tested the virus positive, official sources claim today.

Of the 1376 cases in quarantine, 917 were detected, while 459 were local communication cases.

As a result , the number of cases diagnosed in the state has risen to 9287, with 15928 people recovering from the illness.

Yesterday after 10 people died of COVID-19, Odisha recorded the highest number of single-day deaths yesterday. The deaths were recorded to be 10 COVID-19 in the districts of Ganjam (3), Sundergarh (2), Balasore (2), Gajapati, Jharsuguda and Rayagada.

The number of COVID-19 cases registered in Odisha has increased greatly since 1 July.

In the last five days, more than 1 000 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered every day by the State, and the number rose to 1595 on July 24, the highest day rate so far recorded.

  • A 63-year old male of Gajapati district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension
  • A 63-year old male of Ganjam district.
  • A 55-year old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension.
  • A 60-year old male of Ganjam district.
  • A 64-year old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.
  • A 60-year old male of Ganjam district.
  • A 35-year old male of Khordha district.
  • A 51-year old female of Ganjam district .
  • A 69-year old male of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
  • A 58-year old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease, Right Pneumothorax and Obesity.
