A terrorist attack in Srinagar leaves one ASI dead and two others injured

On Tuesday (July 12), terrorists attacked a naka party near GD Goenka school in Lal Bazar area of Srinagar, killing one police officer and injuring two others.

An ASI was killed on the spot and two other policemen were injured when terrorists fired upon a naka party at Lal Bazar.

Mushtaq Ahmad was identified as the martyred assistant sub-inspector (ASI), while the injured head constable and SPO were evacuated to a nearby hospital.

In a tweet, Kashmir zone police said terrorists had shot at a police team, injuring three officers.

At the Lal Bazar area of Srinagar city, terrorists fired upon a police Naka party. During this terror attack, three police personnel were injured and hospitalized. Cordons have been erected around the area. Kashmir zone police tweeted that more details would follow.

After the assault, the Kashmir zone police announced that ASI Mushtaq Ahmad had succumbed to his injuries and attained martyrdom. We pay our tributes to him for his supreme sacrifice made while on duty. The other two injured personnel are being treated. Further details will be provided as they become available.
