Inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for seven national highways that stretch 222 kilometers and cost the government 1,128 crore, Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone on Thursday.

Bypasses will be constructed in Mihona, Lahar, Daboh and Bhander as part of these projects, the Ministry of Transport stated. This will make it easier to access the famous Sanchi Stupa, Chanderi and Shivpuri tourist spots.
A better connection will be established between Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. In addition, there will be smooth inter-state movement between Bhopal, Gwalior, and Jhansi districts, the report said.
In Gwalior, commuters will find it easier to get from one side of the city to the other as a result of the completion of the four-lane bridge along the Swarnrekha river from Maharani Laxmibai statue to the IIITM.
