A passenger on a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight between Peshawar and Dubai created a ruckus mid-flight as he punched seats, kicked the window, and engaged in a brawl with the flight crew, according to ARY News.
ARY News reported that the incident started when the passenger started brawling with the crew on PIA’s PK-283 flight and damaging the aircraft’s window with force by kicking it, as if trying to break it.
In addition to puching and kicking the seats, the passenger lay face down on the floor. As part of his violent behavior, he attacked the flight attendants who intervened to contain the situation.
In accordance with aviation law, the passenger was tied to his seat to prevent any escalation, a media outlet reported citing sources.
Air traffic controllers in Dubai were contacted by the captain of the flight, according to protocol. Security officials seized the passenger upon landing at Dubai airport.
