A 22-year-old man dialed 100 at 2:30 am on Friday and requested two bottles of beer from the cops. In the Vikarabad district of Telangana, the incident occurred. Madhu, a local resident of Doultabad who lives in Hyderabad, dialed 100 and said he was in distress because he was threatened by a group of people. The cops found him drunk when they arrived at the site.
There was a function going on at a nearby place. When the cops enquired about his problem, he asked them to get him two bottles of beer.Madhu was counselled and let off after the cops registered a case against him.In another incident, a man from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh sent a written complaint to the Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra and the excise department when he failed to get drunk after consuming two bottles of liquor.Sethiya had bought four quarters of local-made (desi) liquor and suspected that they were fake or adulterated. He also submitted the remaining bottles of the liquor as evidence with his complaint.When no investigation was carried out on his complaint, he said that he would move the consumer forum.”I want justice for the drinkers. I drink and also earn but what about those who don’t earn and only drink, I have been drinking for two decades and could soon realise that the liquor was adulterated,” Sethiya said.
