Seven passengers injured when a bus overturned in Mukundapur Ghatunder Rayagada district’s Chandili police station. The accident happened last night around 12.30 hours. A passenger named Mithun Pradhan informed police soon after the accident.

Police rushed to the spot and sent the injured to the Rayagada District headquarters Hospital by an ambulance. All the passenger found safe with minor injuries after first aid.

The injured were identified as Mithun Pradhan of Koraput, 28, Padmanabh Swai, 51, Rajalakshmi Swai, 45, Diptimayi Swai, Deepshikha Swai, Basanti Swai, 35, and Kumari Behera, 35, of Similiguda.

The incident revealed that the om Sai bus was on its way from Jaipur to Nayagarh. However, the bus lost its balance while uphill and overturned at the second round of Mukundapur Ghat. As a result, seven passengers were injured and other passengers were safe.
