Citizen contributions to a welfare fund for martyr’s families have been launched by Rajnath Singh

Rajnath Singh launched a website on Friday to allow Indian citizens to contribute to the Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund (AFBCWF).

An event was held at the National War Memorial complex in New Delhi to launch the portal, dubbed ‘Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot’ (MBKS).

As stated by the ministry, the website was launched to make this noble cause more accessible to patriotic Indians.

“There has been a significant public sentiment and requests from patriotic citizens, corporate heads, and industry captains that contribute to the welfare of soldiers and their families, even though the government of India has initiated a number of welfare schemes for those killed or disabled in active military operations during the line of duty.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan enthusiastically accepted the position of “Goodwill Ambassador”.

There were numerous Param Vir Chakra awardees, well-known ministry officials, corporate heads, chairman and managing director of banks, notable serving sports professionals, and other celebrities in attendance, including the chief of defence staff, heads of all three services, and numerous other well-known ministry officials.
