According to Tejashwi Yadav, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is focused on getting the opposition together for the upcoming Lok Sabha election instead of becoming Prime Minister.
The only agenda CM Nitish Kumar has right now is to bring all opposition together. He does not have any desire to become Prime Minister,” said Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav. CM Kumar’s remarks follow several speculations that he will run for Lok Sabha in 2024 from Phulpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Nitish Kumar, the Bihar Chief Minister, denied these rumours earlier on September 20, saying he only aspired to unite the opposition parties.
Nitish Kumar on Tuesday referred to excessive advertising and controlling the news as a veiled attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Kumar said to media people in Patna, Bihar, “We do so much work but don’t advertise that much. We don’t have money for useless things. I don’t know where some people get their money for so much advertising.”
In Patna, Bihar, Kumar spoke at a program for distributing appointment letters to revenue staff.
Several opposition leaders have also met with the state chief recently. In the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, CM Kumar met Congress President Sonia Gandhi at her residence along with RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Our country has to be saved. For that, we all have to work together like we did in Bihar when the BJP was removed. Sonia Gandhi asked us to meet again after ten to twelve days when the Congress party has a new president.
