Chandigarh has been declared a “no-fly zone” for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including drones, ahead of the air show scheduled for October 6 and 8. Various VIPs are expected to attend the air show. From October 6 to 9, the entire city will be a no-fly zone for drones and UAVs, according to District Magistrate Vinay Pratap Singh.
Using UAVs equipped with explosives had become a new threat, according to the order. It is also possible for UAVs to endanger the safety of aircraft. Thus, UAVs and drones had to be declared a no-go zone in the UT area.
