Sources at the forensic lab said Shraddha Walker’s bones matched her father’s blood sample.
It has been confirmed that the murder has taken place, according to the forensic investigation.
A DNA sample from Shraddha’s father Vikas Walkar was matched with the blood clot and bones, the sources said. Aaftab Poonawala and Shraddha were living together in a flat with some bone and blood samples recovered from the tiles.
It will take a few days for the forensic team to provide the complete report to Delhi Police, according to sources.
Preliminary investigation confirmed the murder of Shraddha based on the police’s exhibits, they reported.
Aftab Walkar casually told Shraddha’s father Vikas that he had killed her the same way she had described in her police report.
“He confessed that he killed her casually and in a normal manner,” Vikas Walkar said exclusively to ABP News.
Earlier this week, Delhi police searched for a mobile phone in Bhayander creek near Mumbai while investigating the Shraddha Walkar murder case.
A Mira-Bhayandar-Vasai-Virar Police official said that the search was conducted with the help of the police.
Police from the national capital camped for a week in the Vasai area near Mumbai, where Shraddha and her alleged killer Aaftab Poonawala lived.
In addition to Shraddha and Poonawala’s friends, relatives, and owners of the flats they rented, investigators also recorded their statements.
This year, Poonawala is alleged to have murdered Shraddha in Delhi.
Over several days after midnight, he allegedly dumped Shraddha’s body across the national capital after strangling her and sawing her body into 35 pieces in their residence’s 300-litre refrigerator for almost three weeks.
