In a wildlife sanctuary, Kaavan is living his best life after once being the world’s loneliest elephant

In the Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary, Kaavan, 37, is living his best life after once being called the “world’s loneliest elephant.”

Kaavan is happy, free, in loving company, and enjoys spending time in the water. Now, a viral video shows how the elephant enjoys relaxing on hot summer days while chilling in the water. Occasionally, he snorkels with his trunk, lying on his side with his head underwater.

On a very hot afternoon at the Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary, Kaavan shows us his favourite way to cool down and relax in the waterhole. Sharing the clip on Instagram, the Save Elephant Foundation wrote, “On a very hot afternoon at the Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary, Kaavan shows us his favourite way to relax and cool down.”
