J&K administration dismisses four employees for alleged anti-national activities

On Saturday, the Jammu and Kashmir administration dismissed four government employees for allegedly participating in anti-national activities, a spokesperson said.

The five employees were dismissed under Article 311 of the Indian Constitution.

A person employed in civil capacities by a Union or state may be dismissed under Article 311.

“These employees’ activities have been brought to the attention of law enforcement and intelligence agencies, as they are found to be involved in activities detrimental to the state’s security,” the spokesperson said.

Manager of Baramulla Central Cooperative Bank Ltd Afaq Ahmad Wani, Constable Tanveer Saleem Dar of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, village worker Syed Iftikhar Andrabi, orderly-cum-chowkidar at Jal Shakti Department at Baramulla, Irshad Ahmad Khan and Assistant lineman in Public Health Engineering Subdivision, Handwara, were dismissed from service.
