Srinagar: In Kashmir, there are two encounters going on between terrorists and security forces at Chitragam in Shopian district and Pattan in Baramulla district, officials said on Friday.
Police and security forces have been deployed to Chitragam area of Shopian, according to the police.
A police and security force encounter has been reported in Yedipora, Pattan area of Baramulla.
Firefights began when police and security forces received information that terrorists were present in those areas.
Terrorists who had been hiding in those areas started firing after security forces cordoned them off.
Many terrorists have been killed in recent encounters between the security forces and terrorists in Kashmir.
