Keep your trishuls and swords ready when you fight the TMC in West Bengal, BJP leader says

To combat the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the run-up to next year’s panchayat elections, BJP leader Dhruv Saha has urged people to keep trishuls and swords at home.

His appeal was made at a BJP meeting in the West Bengal village of Bishnupur.

Elections for panchayats are scheduled for next month. Maa Durga is embodied in the mothers in our homes. Trishuls should be made. From now on, apply vermilion to them. Those trishuls must be used to kill the demons. Swords and da (local weapons) should be kept. Birbhum must be overthrown by these demons. According to him, their sacrifices should be made in the rivers of Mayurakshi and Dwarka in Tarapeeth.

Dhruv Saha was speaking these remarks while BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar was sitting next to him. BJP vice president Dilip Ghosh, who was also in attendance, clapped as the remarks were made.

BJP leader’s comments have been strongly criticized by Trinamool Congress (TMC).

This type of incitement may lead to a deterioration of the law and order situation in the area at any moment. Their goal is to achieve that. Let the administration know about this so they can begin gathering information. Booths are not organized. There is no population base. It is because of applause that people say these things. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) district vice-president Malay Mukhopadhyay said that the development was contributing to pollution of the environment.
