In response to the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s or any of his staff members’ calls, former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi expressed his availability 24×7 on his mobile phone.
Mann was wrong to say I was unavailable, according to Channi, who lives in Canada. My eyes are being treated and I will be back soon. In addition, I am in the process of writing my PhD thesis and I will submit it as soon as possible. It was black and white for all decisions I made as CM. I am available to Mann at any time.”
He had asked where his predecessor was on Tuesday in the Vidhan Sabha. According to the CM, the former CM took many “anti-people” decisions in the last weeks of his term.
The Congress was taunted by Mann, “Show your CM candidate (Channi). In the files I obtained after we were sworn in (formed the government), I noticed that some decisions had been taken near the end of the (Congress) term… It would be helpful if you could tell me where Channi is. What happened to him after the election? He signed many files during his last days as CM, and I want to ask about them,” he said.
Several people say he lives in Canada, and some say he lives in the United States. It would have been better if Channi had stayed here. According to Mann, it implies that he did something wrong.
