Meet Abbas, PM Modi’s childhood friend mentioned in his blog Narendra Modi recalled his childhood friend, Abbas, in a recent speech

 in honor of his mother’s 100th birthday.

Since then, netizens have been curious to learn more about Abbas.

Eventually, the Prime Minister’s brother identified a picture of Abbas and confirmed that it was him. According to him, Abbas currently resides in Australia.

In honor of his mother’s 100th birthday, Prime Minister Modi visited his house in Gandhinagar on June 18. In his blog post, the PM also shared a picture of his mother.

Abbas used to work for the Gujarat government as a Class 2 employee. He retired from service a few months back. He used to work in the Food and Supply Department.Abbas’s house in Gujarat.

Abbas also has two sons. The elder son lives in Kheralu tahhas a homef Gujarat’s Mehsana district, while the younger son lives in Australia. Abbas Bhai is currently living in Sydney with his younger son.

In his blog, PM Modi recalled his childhood and said that the one-and-a-half-room house in Vadnagar where he grew up was small and made of mud walls and tiles.

Talking about his childhood friend, PM Modi said, “A little far from our house there was a village in which very close friends of my father used to live. His son was Abbas. After the untimely death of his father, our father bought Abbas to our house.”

“In a way, Abbas stayed and studied in our house.. Like all of us children, mother used to take great care of Abbas too. On Eid, mother used to prepare dishes of his choice for Abbas,” added PM Modi.
