Ankiti Bose, the former CEO of Singapore startup Zilingo who resigned last week, said on Friday she sought a protection order against a Twitter user.
A Twitter user obtained an Expedited Protection Order against Bose after she posted about it on the Meta-owned photo-sharing app Instagram. “Today I obtained an Expedited Protection Order from the Singapore court,” she wrote.
As well as being bombarded with hate messages and “unfounded negative press,” she said she was choking up when trying to unlock her phone. There may have been unauthorized access to and circulation of my personal photos, chats, documents, and records and I have now seen versions on the web which are clearly fake, but still damaging. “I don’t know who is doing this,” she said.
Meanwhile, the former Indian-origin CEO said she has had a difficult seven days. As well as the public dispute (which should have remained private as intended), Bose wrote that the media and social media surrounding Zilingo and I have made it difficult for us to concentrate on what is important.
Her termination as CEO was announced on Thursday.
Earlier this month, Bose said she had been terminated for “insubordination,” which she called a witch hunt. She had said, “I have been suspended for 51 days because of an anonymous whistleblower complaint, and today I have been informed that my employment has been terminated for ‘insubordination’, among other reasons.”
As per PTI, Zilingo had announced that Bose was terminated with cause following an investigation carried out by an independent forensics firm commissioned to investigate complaints of serious financial irregularities. The company reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal action following the termination of Bose’s employment with cause.
In response to her suspension, Bose said she had no reports about her termination and had not been given sufficient time to provide the company with the documents it requested. With Zilingo, brands, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, and factories can access innovative products and trade services.
