The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar, in Jammu and Kashmir, sustained five injuries after a scuffle between two groups of students ended a volleyball match.
The police reached the campus after being notified by NIT authorities.
In the late hours of the night, police reported clashes between two groups of students from different batches.
A late night scuffle between students belonging to different batches occurred at NIT Srinagar wherein two groups clashed after a volleyball match. There were minor injuries sustained by 5 students from both sides. The police entered the campus at the request of NIT authorities, and the situation has now returned to normal.”
There was no danger to the public, according to police.
