On 7 October, India and Pakistan will compete in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup

Jay Shah, president of the Asian Cricket Council, announced that India will play arch-rival Pakistan on 7 October in the women’s T20 Asia Cup, to begin in Bangladesh’s Sylhet next month.

The 15-day tournament begins on 1 October, with seven teams participating.

Four teams will qualify for the semi-finals following a round robin format.
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, and Malaysia will be competing in the tournament.
Since the Taliban took over the country, Afghanistan does not have a women’s team.

Against Sri Lanka, India opens its campaign.

In the following days, they will face Malaysia (3 October) and the UAE (4 October) before facing Pakistan.

On 8 October, India will play host Bangladesh, while on 10 October, they will play minnows Thailand in a round-robin game.

It may be either the 11th or the 13th of October when Harmanpreet Kaur’s side plays its probable semi-final.

The final is slated for 15 October.
