Punjab’s Sangrur Jail seizes five smartphones from gangsters

On Thursday morning, Punjab’s Sangrur jail saw the police recovered five smartphones from gangsters.

A high-security zone of the jail was searched and five smartphones were recovered from C- and B-category gangsters.

One smartphone did not have a sim card, while four smartphones had SIM cards.

Approximately 100 policemen including five deputy superintendents of police, seven supervisors of hospitals, and superintendent of police Palvinder Singh Cheema conducted the raid in the jail today at around 10 a.m.

About two hours were spent conducting the raid by the police.

The gangsters will be dealt with further after an FIR has been filed against them.

The employees who are responsible will not be spared at any cost, they said, as a probe will be conducted to uncover how the gangsters obtained the phones despite strictness in the jail.
