During a party in Bengaluru on Sunday night, Siddhanth Kapoor, brother of actress Shraddha Kapoor and son of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, was detained by Bengaluru Police for allegedly consuming drugs.
At a party held in the Park Hotel’s pub on Sunday night, Sidhhant was invited as a DJ. He is alleged to have consumed drugs at the party. Police conducted a raid at the hotel after receiving a tip-off, and they subjected 35 guests to medical testing. Siddhanth Kapoor was one of six guests who tested positive for drug use. He has now reacted to the detention of his son in Bengaluru.
To ETimes, the veteran actor said: “There is only one thing I can say – it is not possible”. In addition, Siddhant had left Mumbai on Sunday and was on his way to Bengaluru at the time of the incident. Siddhant’s family was unaware of the hotel where he was staying. In the meantime, the Bengaluru Police has confirmed that Siddhant Kapoor was among the six allegedly found to have consumed drugs.
Cops have not been able to confirm whether those involved had already consumed drugs when they arrived at the party or if they consumed them at the hotel. Dr Bheemashankar S. Guled, DCP, East division, Bengaluru City, told ANI that Siddhanth Kapoor tested positive for drugs. He has been taken to Ulsoor Police Station.
