Friday was the first day of JP Nadda’s two-day visit to Puri, Odisha. On Friday, he offered prayers at Shree Jagannatha Temple.
Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister, accompanied him. Party workers welcomed Nadda when he arrived late Thursday evening in Puri.
Nadda is visiting the state for the first time since becoming the party’s top official in 2019.
He is scheduled to visit Bhadrak and Cuttack later in the day.
Approximately 10.10 am today, he will meet the family of late party leader Bishnu Sethi at Tihidi Kalipadia to pay homage to him.
A kidney failure led to Sethi’s death on September 19 in Bhubaneswar at the age of 61.
Nadda will also participate in an event at Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research in Cuttack.
Nadda is touring various states and holding meetings with the party’s state units to assess the party’s poll preparations for 2024.
In Bhubaneswar, BJP in-charge Sunil Bansal assessed preparedness before his visit. The party workers were assigned tasks after he held meetings with them. September 13th and 15th were also training camps for him.
Nearly 30,000 workers are expected to attend Nadda’s speech. During the upcoming polls, the party hopes that the president’s speech will give them new energy.
According to the sources, Nadda visits every state because of this.
Furthermore, Nadda will meet with MPs, MLAs, office bearers, and district presidents to discuss government schemes and take their feedback.
