For information on four absconding GBP Group officials and directors accused of defrauding investors of about Rs 40 crore, the UT police have announced a reward of Rs 50,000.
A total of 19 cheating cases have been filed against builders Satish Gupta, Pardeep Gupta, Raman Gupta, and Anupam Gupta. It was announced that anyone who provided information leading to the arrest of the accused would receive a reward.
People invested money in the accused’s residential and commercial projects, but were not delivered property or refunded their money, police said. A reward has been offered by the police in the past to catch economic criminals. For information on Prem Lal Midha, director of UT Construction Private Ltd, Sector 34, who is facing three cases of duping people of Rs 4 crore, the police had offered a reward of Rs 25,000.
The Economic Offences Wing has also placed a reward of Rs 50,000 on Kricpy Khera, director of High Commission Facilitation Services & Immigration Pvt Ltd, wanted for duping people out of Rs 8 crore under the pretext of sending them to foreign countries. Ajay Garg of Patiala has also been offered a reward of Rs 25,000 for information about how he conned a complainant out of Rs 8 crore under the guise of providing milk powder to him.
