Fire broke out at a Bharat Rasayan chemical plant in Dahej, in Gujarat’s Bharuch district, on Tuesday.
Dahej GIDC industrial estate was damaged by fire, according to reports. Police said they were carrying out a rescue operation. Six workers in Bharuch city were rushed to a hospital after suffering injuries, according to Superintendent of Police Leena Patil. District Collector Tushar Sumera said efforts were underway to contain the fire. “Once the fire is doused and rescue teams enter the premises, the picture will become clear,” he said.
An exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined, according to officials.
