The hitmen of a Canadian ganglord have been arrested in Delhi: Police

According to a senior Delhi Police officer, two alleged shooters who came to the city to execute a hit job on the orders of Canadian ganglord Arshdeep Dalla have been arrested.

Ankit Goel, a Bathinda-based businessman, had been shot outside his house by Ravinder Singh, 21, and Navdeep Singh, 26, both of Gurdaspur in Punjab.

Goel’s house was attacked after they demanded Rs 1 crore from him.

By threatening a man to give Rs 5 crore to the gang, Ravinder and Navdeep were sent to Delhi by Taranjot Singh, who is currently in Ferozepur Jail in Punjab.

According to police, Arshdeep Dalla ordered the extortion bid.

According to Rajiv Rajan Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), both shooters were arrested on September 22 in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri when they met a Delhi-based contact.

“Arshdeep Dalla, a Canadian terror gang operator, operates under the direction of Punjab-based Taranjot Singh.

“He also has close ties to Hardeep Nijjar of Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). Two semi-automatic pistols and nine live cartridges were recovered from them,” Taranjot said.

In an interview with police, Navdeep explained that he was fascinated by Taranjot and wanted to make a lot of money in a short period, so he started following his orders, and met Ravinder.

His contacts had kept two semiautomatic weapons near a bus stand in Sonepat, Haryana, which he collected at Taranjot’s direction.

According to the officer, the guns were used on targets assigned by Taranjot.
