The Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) for May 2022 has been awarded to nine researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna.
There are two researchers from each of the Departments of Chemistry, Computer Science, and Physics and one from each of the Departments of Mechanical, Electrical, and Math.
As part of the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship, Raashi Aditi Ranjan, Joydeb Saha, Priyanka Sharma, Shruti Saxena, Subham Raj, Maansi Aggarwal, Arnab Patla, Priyanka Dubey, and Priyanka Priyadarshani Samal have been selected. Three of them are males, while six are females.
In the first year, the fellowship amount will be Rs. 70,000 per month; in the third year, it will be Rs. 75,000; and in the fourth and fifth years, it will be Rs. 80,000. During the course of the fellowship, the research scholars can also apply for a research contingency grant of Rs 2 lakh per annum (a total of Rs 10 lakh for five years).
