There is a demolition notice issued for the Prayagraj Hospital that transfused Mosambi Juice to dengue patients

Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) has issued a demolition notice to Prayagraj hospital, which allegedly transfused ‘mosambi juice’ as an IV drip to a dengue patient.

Global Hospital and Trauma Centre in Prayagraj received a bulldozer threat for unauthorised construction. According to the PDA, the building is “illegally constructed” and must be vacated by October 28.

As a result of a preliminary inquiry, the hospital authorities were forced to seal the facility last week. Additionally, a demolition order was passed earlier after the hospital authorities failed to respond to earlier notices. A demolition order was issued after the hospital authorities failed to respond.

In response to the viral video of Jhalwa-based Global Hospital offering ‘mosambi juice’ rather than platelets to a dengue patient in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak took to Twitter and said, “We have immediately sealed the hospital and sent the platelets packet for testing.” The hospital will face strict repercussions if found guilty.”

Pradeep Pandey, 32, died at the hospital after being transfused ‘mosambi juice’ instead of blood platelets after being treated for dengue. Consequently, the family of the man has appealed to the Uttar Pradesh government to take strict action against those responsible.

A packet of ‘mosambi juice’ was allegedly given to the deceased patient in place of platelets, causing his health to worsen. The packet of yellow liquid is shown in a viral video made by the patient’s kin. After the patient’s death, state authorities sealed the hospital.

Although the hospital authorities denied the allegations, they said that blood platelets were transfused by the attendants from SRN Blood Bank. Transfusions of platelets were performed on the patient by the attendants. Neither the hospital nor the attendants test the platelets that their patients bring. How can the hospital be held responsible if the attendants fetch the wrong platelets? It is the attendants’ responsibility to verify authenticity, the hospital owner said.
