Today, PM Modi will inaugurate AIIMS Bilaspur in poll-bound Himachal Pradesh

During his visit to poll-bound Himachal Pradesh today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate AIIMS Bilaspur and lay the foundation stone for over Rs 3,650 crore of projects.

In addition to participating in Vijayadashami celebrations, the Prime Minister is also scheduled to attend Kullu Dussehra festivities.

A launch of the health institute will be held at around 11:30 am, followed by the inauguration of multiple development projects at around 12:45 pm at Luhnu Ground in Bilaspur. In addition, he will speak at a public event.

At around 3:15 pm, the Prime Minister will attend the Kullu Dussehra celebrations at the Dhalpur Ground in Kullu.

As a state-of-the-art hospital with 18 speciality and 17 superspecialty departments, 18 modular operating theatres, and 750 beds, including 64 intensive care units, AIIMS Bilaspur will cost more than Rs 1,470 crore.

On 247 acres, the institute will include 24-hour emergency and dialysis services, as well as modern diagnostic equipment such as ultrasonography, CT scans and MRIs. Additionally, there will be an AYUSH block with 30 beds and a Jan Aushadhi Kendra.

To provide healthcare in tribal and inaccessible areas of the state, the hospital will have a Centre for Digital Health.

In areas such as Kaza, Saluni, and Keylong that are not accessible to health care, the hospital will offer specialists health care through health camps. A total of 100 students will get admission to MBBS every year and 60 students will get admission to nursing courses.
Jai Ram Thakur, chief minister of Kullu, said on Monday that Prime Minister Modi will attend the International Kullu Dussehra as well.

On Monday at Rath Maidan in Dhalpur, Thakur took stock of preparations for the Rath Yatra and said Modi’s involvement shows his affection for Himachal and its people.
